There is no value to the guest, only another way to squeeze more money from people and yet not even provide housekeeping when requested 1 day using the proper channels. At this point, the resort fees at GN are just theft.
Bottled water in room? Well if housekeeping actually came to our room when requested, we would have had our waters restocked. $42 a day to have boarding passes printed? Everyone uses their mobile devices these days to board. Now, if we are required to pay a resort fee for insignificant items, at least have housekeeping clean the room 1 day out of a 4 night stay, especially after requesting it. They never came at all during entire trip. We wanted to have trash cans emptied and towels refreshed. They never came to clean our room when we returned. Then next day, we were out of our room the entire day and removed our privacy sign from the door. Midway through our stay, I requested housekeeping for the following day. Housekeeping must be requested a day in advance.
The room has a QR code system to request room service, express check out, and requesting housekeeping. Be advised, the Main St stage on Fremont is adjacent to the tower and it's loud until 2am.
We had 2 windows with a view of the Plaza hotel and the back window facing the Stratosphere.
Our room was huge and a good upgrade value. Why? We have stayed in non-suite rooms at GN with a fridge. Now.corner suite would make you think the room has a fridge. We asked about Rush Tower upgrades and accepted a $60 per night upgrade to a corner suite. We were very early and knew a $30 fee would be required for early check in. We had a booked a room in the Carson Tower with the intent of upgrading at check in.
